Which Ethiopian commodities are in Hajuta Trading’s catalogue?
+
Does an Ethiopian coffee grade tell me how the coffee will cup?
+
A grade is useful, but it is not a complete sensory specification. Ask for the stated origin, processing method, crop or lot information and any available sample or cup data alongside the grade. The International Coffee Organization notes that coffee grading criteria vary by country and may combine physical and tasting measures.
What should I compare when buying Ethiopian sesame or another oilseed?
+
Compare the product’s stated purity, moisture, colour or grade, oil content when relevant, packaging and intended use. Food buyers may also need contaminant and microbiological evidence appropriate to their destination. CBI’s sesame buyer guidance identifies these as central considerations; a value or test should be confirmed for the proposed lot rather than assumed for every Hajuta product.
Are all oilseeds in the catalogue intended for food use?
+
No. Intended use differs by oilseed. For example, castor seed is primarily an industrial oilseed and should not be treated as a food ingredient; FAO AGRIS describes its industrial uses and the toxicity of the raw seed. Check the product page and specify the intended application and any required safety or handling documents in your enquiry.
Which details matter most for Ethiopian beans and other pulses?
+
Buyers commonly assess variety or type, size and colour, foreign matter, defects, moisture and packaging. The required tolerances depend on the product, buyer and destination. CBI’s dry-bean guidance distinguishes buyer specifications from destination-market requirements; use the individual product page for Hajuta’s published values.
Check the lot
Can I evaluate a sample before committing to a larger order?
+
For coffee, use the Request a Coffee Sample form and share the required origin and grade, sample quantity, estimated commercial quantity, destination port and preferred shipment period. Hajuta can confirm sample availability and practical arrangements for the proposed product or lot. For other commodities, include a sample request in your quotation enquiry.
Are the stated grade, moisture and other specifications identical for every lot?
+
No single catalogue description should be treated as a guarantee for every future lot. Review the product page as the published starting point, then request confirmation of the specification, crop or lot, availability and any required supporting evidence for the transaction under discussion. See Quality & Certifications for the questions worth checking.
Is a product organic or covered by a particular certification?
+
Only rely on a certification when its current document, holder, product and scope have been checked. A general claim about Ethiopian agriculture does not certify a Hajuta product or lot. Name the certification you require in your enquiry; Hajuta can confirm whether evidence applicable to the proposed product is available.
Agree the terms
What is the minimum order quantity?
+
The minimum order quantity varies by product and may depend on the available lot and packing arrangement. Check the product page for a published MOQ; if it says “to be confirmed” or your requirement differs, include your target volume in the enquiry. Hajuta can clarify whether that quantity is workable for the proposed transaction.
What packaging options are available?
+
Use the packaging field on the relevant product page as the starting point. State any required net bag weight, liner, marking or pallet arrangement in your enquiry; alternatives need product- and lot-specific confirmation. The Export & Logistics page explains how to frame these requirements.
Can I request FOB, CFR or CIF pricing?
+
State the delivery rule you prefer and the named port or place. Some product pages publish working export terms, but they are not a site-wide commitment; the applicable term and cost scope belong in the quotation. The International Chamber of Commerce recommends naming the chosen Incoterms® 2020 rule and place clearly in the contract.
What is Hajuta’s annual supply capability?
+
Hajuta has an annual supply capability of up to 15,000 metric tons of Ethiopian agricultural commodities across its range. This is not a coffee-only volume or a guaranteed quantity for an individual product. Coffee is sourced from Djimmah, Sidamo, Yirgacheffe and Wollega/Lekempti. The warehouse and cleaning facilities in Kaliti, Addis Ababa, support receiving, storage, cleaning, grading, sorting, product preparation and export packing. Review export services and confirm the quantity available for your proposed lot.
Which markets does Hajuta serve?
+
Hajuta serves buyers in the European Union, United States, Canada, Australia, Middle East, India, China and Russia. Tell the export team your destination country and port so product availability, documents and shipment arrangements can be discussed for that transaction.
Which payment methods are available?
+
Hajuta can discuss an irrevocable LC at sight, CAD / documents against payment, or split TT payment with an advance and the balance against scanned shipping documents. Final payment terms remain subject to the contract, order value, destination and buyer approval. See Export & Logistics for the payment and shipment discussion.
Which export and import documents should I request?
+
Tell Hajuta which commercial, origin, inspection, phytosanitary or other documents your buyer and destination require. The applicable set depends on the commodity, route and importing country, so document availability should be confirmed for the shipment. Your importing agent or competent authority should verify destination requirements before contract terms are finalised.
Prepare an enquiry
What information should I send to request a useful quotation?
+
Send the product name or page link, required specification, target quantity, destination, preferred packaging and delivery basis, timing, and any document or certification requirements. This gives Hajuta a concrete basis for discussing the proposed product and lot. You can start on the Request a Quote page.
Why is a catalogue page not a final offer?
+
The catalogue presents product information for evaluation. Quantity, lot specification, availability, packaging, destination, delivery basis, documents and price must still be agreed for an actual transaction. Ask for a current quotation rather than treating a general page as a contract.
